It is good to praise the Lord and make
music to your name, O Most High.
Psalms 92:1 When the Christian Faith Church started almost fourteen years ago Pastor Collinge wanted to have a lot of music integrated in the service. Music is a very important part of worship! God loves to hear his children sing and play instruments. Over the years more music has been added. Praise singing leads off our Sunday Morning worship service around 8:45 to warm everyone up. This is where the congregation can pick their favorite new praise song or a song from the hymnal. And during the service every week children are playing instruments: trumpet, flute, piano, and guitar. And some adults are dusting off their instruments too. Ultimately down the road there will be a praise band.
Roller Skating Event
On Saturday, May 10th, the CFC kids and some of their parents spent a fun-filled couple of hours at the Newington Roller Skating Rink. The Exeter Community Church sponsors a family skate time which includes skating to Christian music and a devotion time. It was such great fun and we got to see experienced skaters, and a few beginners out on the rink. We also saw our Pastor strap on some skates for awhile. It is a great opportunity for kids to skate in a Christian environment, with people being friendly and caring. We would like to thank the Exeter Community church and Pastor Steve Leavitt for their sponsorship of this fun event. This was the last one before summer, and it will start again in Sept. We will definitely be planning on attending again. We will let you know when so you can join us.
Strawberry Shortcake Table
There is nothing better than homemade biscuits when it comes to dishing up some old fashioned strawberry shortcake. Those prefab sponge cake circles just aren’t the same. Join the CFC at the Newfields Memorial Day Celebration for a bowl of that old fashioned shortcake. There will be homemade biscuits, strawberries of course, and whipped cream. The celebration is Saturday, May 24th. We will be in the field following the parade. Hope to see you there!
“I am the Way” By Pastor Bob Collinge In John’s Gospel, chapter 14, verse 6, Jesus say’s “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” So many people are searching for direction, but Jesus clearly spells it out for them. He is the only way. Whatever the situation, Jesus is the way. There are really only two ways you can go. One of them is with Jesus, one of them is without. Jesus said “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14) Jesus said that His path is a narrow path so we need to be sure that we are following Him. In Jeremiah 29:11 we read “For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” God’s plan for us is to have us succeed in Him. I recently heard a sermon where the preacher asked “God has plans for you, but do you have plans for God in your life.” That is the question each of us must ask ourselves. Where is God in our lives? Are we living according to His way? As Jesus said “I am the way”, let us make sure that He truly is.

Bible Studies
Studying the Word of God is so important to the life of all believers. The Christian Faith church offers many opportunities to do just that. On Monday evenings we are just into a new study on I and II Samuel and I Chronicles. These studies are written by Jack Hayford, and we are led by Elder Rollin Rumford. On Friday evenings we are currently coming to the end of our study on “Heaven”, a book written by Randy Alcorn, led by Pastor Bob Collinge. If you have ever had a question concerning Heaven, this book probably answers it. Mr. Alcorn uses over one thousand scripture references and quotes over three hundred other sources in this book. We have had numerous ideas on what to study at the conclusion of “Heaven”, including more prophecy, another book, or a particular book of the Bible. Please call 778-0489 for more information on our new study.
A NEW MISSION PROJECT
“Then shall the King say unto them... ‘Come, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was naked, and ye clothed me....’ Then shall the righteous answer Him, ‘When saw we Thee naked, and clothed Thee?’ And the King shall say unto them, ‘Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.” (Excerpts from Matthew 25: 34 – 40)
There will be a new “business” opening June 2nd at 96 Epping Road (Rt. 27) in Exeter. Wonderland Thrift Shop will be a non-profit entity whose mission is “to develop a mutually beneficial relationship with community groups, local churches, and the people of the Exeter area”. Their goal is “to donate proceeds to a different local community service, church, or charity each month”. They also “hope to provide support for families in need by offering vouchers and gift certificates for use in the store. Our mission is to help the Thrift Shop with donations and to “spread the word”. They are currently in need of any type of baby items. Since they are busy getting ready for opening day, they are asking for people to wait to bring any other donations. Once the store is open they will welcome “non-electric” donations of all kinds. “Drop off day” will be Saturdays and a donations bin will be located outside. For larger non-electrical items, they ask that people call 603-686-5313 ahead of time to confirm a time for donations to be delivered. Wonderland Thrift Shop is being run by Lisa Pearson, Ruthie Spiero, and Jennifer Campbell. Their website (www.wonderlandthrift.com) is “under construction, but they hope to have it operational by June 2nd. They can also be contacted by e-mail at info@wonderlandthrift.com. The new Wonderland Thrift Shop flier states their Future Goals: “We aim to get involved with local churches, schools, businesses, and the community to help alleviate poverty, provide funds for local causes as well as help those genuinely in need.” They also plan on holding “fund raising events, children’s activities, as well as fun days, sales days, and party events”. One particular event we would like to make people aware of is slated to start in October. It will be a toy drive for the needy. Please contact the store for further details. Now for some news about the Thrift Shop itself. The building has a ramp which means it is “wheelchair and stroller accessible”. “Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, baby accessories, toys, books, house-wares, furniture, and other kinds of items” will be available. And there will be a separate room for children’s toys and accessories so that the “little ones can browse too”. There will be a “reading nook” at the front of the store with “complimentary tea and coffee every day”. There will also be a large community bulletin board where “items of community interest, items or services needed, or items or services being offered” can be posted. In today’s economy, more and more people are in need. May God bless this mission project as it fills a need within the community and strives to make this a better world.

Music is a big part of the Christian Faith Church. God has led Pastor Bob to include music in every facet of the worship service, from beginning to end and everywhere in between. It is often said that “He who sings, prays twice”. Using your talent for God is a blessing in itself. We use what He gave us to please and glorify Him! Here are some of the talents that God has placed in His church.
